Success Stories

to

dream...

Ashlee seemed doomed to a revolving system of group homes and then to be "emancipated" at age 18 with no career training, no place to call home, no dream. Through our vocational services, Ashlee was provided career support and training. Stanford Home's Family Finding service found a family member in Arizona. Ashlee now has family to share her life with and dreams to talk about.

to

overcome...

AJ ran away from his Stockton Group home and found his way back to Sacramento — he just wanted to reconnect with his family. Stanford Home provided the advocacy and support for "kinship foster care." Stanford Home works with AJ and his sister to expand their healthy family connections and provide the tools they need to overcome.

to

thrive...

Paul and Debora enjoyed nurturing foster kids in their home, but they wanted to give more — a permanent home, a permanent family. Stanford Home connected Paul and Debora with two sisters who needed not another foster home, but a place to call home — a place to thrive.
