Hines - Stanford Home Corporate PartnerWells Fargo - Stanford Home Corporate Partner

SACRAMENTO, CA — December 6th, 2007 — Hines/Wells Fargo Holiday Party was a great success! Hines is the property management company for the Wells Fargo Building at 400 Capitol Mall. Every year, Hines puts on a Holiday Party for their tenants in the building. During this event, Stanford Home for Children provides items that the tenants can bid on through Silent Auction. All proceeds of the Silent Auction benefit Stanford Home for Children. This is a great opportunity for Stanford Home for Children to once again get our name out in the community as well as raise funds for our programs.

This year's Silent Auction raised over $3,300. We sold 59 of the 68 Auction lots for 85% of their fair market value.

We had one very generous bidder, who bought three different items for 150% of their value. Not only did she help to benefit Stanford Home, but she was also able to get some Christmas shopping done! Another special bidder bought a toy for 150% of it's value, then was generous enough to donate it back to Stanford Home for Children to use in our Holiday Gift Project this year. And last, but not least, is the gentleman who bought over $650 worth of items and asked us to contact him so that he could be further involved with Stanford Home through-out the year! Now that is SUCCESS!

Through Corporate sponsorships and individual's auction purchases, Stanford Home for Children raised over $12,300.
