Volunteer to support Stanford Home's special projects and events.

Stanford Home for Children serves children and families in their homes and communities, which means volunteer opportunities generally do not include direct service to our clients. We encourage volunteers to get involved with our special projects and events throughout the year to help raise awareness, resources, and funds to help support our direct outreach to children and families in Sacramento.

Volunteer project highlights:

Family Home Makeover Day:
Last year more than 40 volunteers from Perry-Smith LLP and Mr. Handyman helped with our Family Home Makeover Day – a home renovation project to help a family in need from our FOCUS program.

Holiday Gift Project:
Each December, about 100 local businesses and individuals give more than 1,000 items such as bedding, gift cards, and presents valuing nearly $20,000 to ensure our children and families experience the holidays with food on the table, warmer beds, and gifts. Dozens more community volunteers tirelessly sort and wrap the gifts.
