| Description: | The family support counselor is respoonsible for providng home support and services to families and program support to agency social workers. The Family Support Counselor provides support services to the child and the foster family including structuring a safe environment for the child, collateral contacts, and any administrative or training functioning necessary to implement the child's needs and services plan. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanford Home for Children. Qualifications: *BA degree in social science field + 6months of experience working with emotionally disturbed children or children with serious behavioral problems; or an Associate degree and 1 yr experience working with emotionally disturbed children or children with serious behavioral problems * Experience must be in a setting such as residential treatment, foster care, group home transitional housing programs. * Applicant must be prepared to work independently with flexible hours that may include evenings, weekends and holidays * Proven documentation skills and intermediate level computer skills including MS Office programs. |
