Family V.O.I.C.E. reflects Stanford Home's commitment to empowering families by bringing family Values, Ownership, Individualized treatment, Choice and Empowerment to all of it's programs. Stanford Home has the only program of this kind in the Sacramento area that is specifically designed to ensure clients and their caregivers have the knowledge and support necessary to become equal partners in the development and implementation of their treatment goals. The Family V.O.I.C.E. program ensures through education, support and empowerment that all parents and caretakers have an equal opportunity to participate in their own care decisions.
Our Family advocates bring a special perspective as they have themselves parented a child in the state's child care system. They truly have "been there" through overcoming their own challenges, and can encourage families in unique and special ways.
Family V.O.I.C.E. offers on going education and support groups that bring families with similar challenges and concerns together. Through support, information and education, parents and other caretakers are provided with a variety of tools that can help them to successfully cope with the challenges that they face when raising their children.
